Joselito's Dream

This project was developed during the Global Game Jam 2024 and is a 2D top-down shooter titled Joselito's Dream. Players take on the role of Joselito as he battles waves of enemies representing his fears. Along the way, they can collect power-ups to unlock new abilities, such as a triple shot or piercing shots, enhancing their chances of survival.


As the gameplay programmer, I focused on:

  • Player Mechanics: Implemented core mechanics like movement and aiming to ensure fluid and responsive controls.

  • Power-Ups: Programmed features such as triple shots and piercing shots to enrich the gameplay experience.

  • Game Flow: Managed overall game flow, including transitions between waves and gameplay events.

  • Enemy AI: Developed enemy behaviors, including AI that dynamically follows and shoots at the player, creating engaging combat scenarios.

The game was created collaboratively by a team of four using Unity and C#.
